This table is an initial Honsberg guide for solid workpieces. Select by the length of tooth contact with metal in the cutting zone; diameter is a reference for solid round bar. Ranges overlap, and the final choice also depends on material and cutting conditions.

For tubes and profiles, both wall thickness and outside cross-section are required. Do not use outside tube diameter as a value in this table. The separate Honsberg profile chart specifies special P teeth; its pitches cannot automatically be substituted with Spectra S/K pitches. For selection advice, provide cross-section, wall thickness, material and whether you cut single pieces or bundles.
